Temple Hills Man Faces Charges In Deadly Assault Of Washington, D.C., Man
A Temple Hills man has been charged in connection to the deadly assault of a Washington, D.C., in Oxon Hill, police say.
OXON HILL, MD — Police have charged a Temple Hills man in connection to an assault that turned deadly earlier this month in Oxon Hill.
On April 2 around 9:50 a.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 2300 block of Iverson Street for a report of an assault. They found 55-year-old Thomas Johnson IV of Washington, D.C., outside a business with severe head trauma. He died from injuries April 10, the police department reported.
Detectives had identified 32-year-old DeAndre Washington of Temple Hills as the suspect in the assault. He was located and arrested in Washington, D.C., on April 8. They've since charged him with first-degree murder and related charges, the police department stated.

The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect physically assaulted the victim outside of a store. The motive is under investigation. At this time, it does not appear they were known to each other, according to the police department.
