Trash Services Canceled Tuesday In Prince George's Due To Winter Storm

Prince George's has canceled all residential bulky, trash and recycling curbside collections for Tuesday due to the winter storm.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Due to the winter storm affecting most of Maryland, all residential bulky, trash and recycling curbside collections for Tuesday have been suspended.

All collections will resume Wednesday on a slide schedule and end Saturday, Jan. 11, weather permitting, according to county officials.

The curbside waste collection schedule will be as follows:

  • Regular Tuesday, Jan. 7, collections slide to Wednesday, Jan. 8
  • Regular Wednesday, Jan. 8, collections slide to Thursday, Jan. 9
  • Regular Thursday, Jan. 9, collections slide to Friday, Jan. 10
  • Regular Friday, Jan. 10, collections slide to Saturday, Jan. 11

All bulky, scrap tires or white goods scheduled for collection on Tuesday, Jan. 7, will be rescheduled.

The Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill, 11611 White House Road, the Prince George’s County Organics Composting Facility at 6550 Maude Savoy Brown Road, and the Brown Station Road Residential Convenience Center at 3501 Brown Station Road, all in Upper Marlboro, the Missouri Avenue Solid Waste Acceptance and Recycling Center at 12701 Missouri Avenue in Brandywine, and the Materials Recycling Facility at 1000 Ritchie Road in Capitol Heights will reopen to the public on Tuesday at 10 a.m. on a delayed schedule.
