Vehicle Plows Into House Causing Serious Injuries, 2nd Vehicle Plunges Into Pond: PGFD

Firefighters rescued a trapped individual from an SUV that had crashed into a home while another vehicle plunged into a pond this week.

Around 4:13 p.m. Tuesday, Prince George's firefighters were called to a home in Glenarden where they found an SUV that had crashed into the side of a home. Wednesday around 9:30 a.m., firefighters found a vehicle in a Bowie pond.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A vehicle plowed into a Glenarden home Tuesday, trapping one of the car's occupants. On Wednesday, a vehicle ended up at the bottom of a pond after crashing through a fence.

Around 4:13 p.m. Tuesday, Prince George's firefighters were called to a home in the 3100 block of Church Street in Glenarden where they found an SUV that had crashed into the side of a home. Individuals in the home were evacuated while firefighters extricated one trapped adult who was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. Building inspectors were called to determine if the home could be inhabited or was unstable.

Wednesday around 9:30 a.m., firefighters were called to a property in the 3400 block of Enterprise Road in Bowie for a report of a vehicle in a pond. The female driver and a dog were able to escape without injury. The incident is being investigated.
