Very Cold Start Before Showers Return: Maryland Weather Forecast

Temperatures will slowly warm over the week, but it'll start Sunday night in the 30s.

Areas to the west of our region are facing a frost advisory.

And states in the Midwest and Northeast are seeing record low temperatures, and even snow, according to the Weather Channel.

We're enjoying a break in the clouds, but the threat for showers will return soon.

The best chance for rain is expected to begin Tuesday morning and stay until we head for work Wednesday.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 37. West wind 12 to 17 mph decreasing to 6 to 11 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 64. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Tuesday: Showers likely, mainly after 9am. Cloudy, with a high near 58. West wind around 6 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Wednesday: Showers likely, mainly before 9am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 68.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 70.

Saturday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 69. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
