Woman Punches 3 Employees, Kicks Holes In Store Walls
A Bowie woman was charged in Charles County after police say she punched 3 employees in the face and kicked holes in a store's walls.
BOWIE, MD — A 24-year-old Bowie woman has been arrested after police say she punched three employees in the face and kicked multiple holes in the walls at a Waldorf grocery store before running away from deputies.
Angelica Jannee West, 24, of Bowie, faces eight charges, including three counts of assault, following an Oct. 3 incident at World Food Supermarket. Court records show Charles County sheriff’s deputies were called to the 2200 block of Crain Highway around 9:17 p.m. for a report of an assault in progress. Court documents stated that a deputy saw several witnesses yelling and pointing at West as she fled the business after seeing the deputy’s emergency lights and hearing sirens.
The deputy ordered West to stop but she kept running around the outside of the store and into an alleyway, reported The Bay Net. The deputy was able to apprehend and arrest her. According to court documents, West appeared to be highly intoxicated with "glassy eyes," was unsteady on her feet and smelled of alcohol, the deputy stated.
