Vehicle Fatally Struck Woman On Interstate After She Was Reported Missing
A vehicle fatally hit a 77-year-old woman reported missing. The incident happened on the I-95 exit ramp onto eastbound MD-198.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 77-year-old woman reported missing was found dead on the I-95 exit ramp onto eastbound MD-198.
Asenakech Amdrufael Negewo, 77, had been reported missing to the Montgomery County Police Department. Sunday, May 18, around 9:17 p.m., Maryland State Patrol troopers were called to eastbound MD-198 near the ramp from northbound I-95 for reports of a pedestrian-involved crash, the police department reported.
According to a preliminary investigation, a Honda Civic, driven by Rigoberto Cervantes-Ceferino, 44, was traveling on the I-95 exit ramp onto eastbound MD-198 when it hit Negewo, who was standing in the road, the state patrol stated.
