Celebrate New Year's in Style in Columbia

Midnight at 7 at Symphony of Lights

Don't stay up until midnight to enjoy New Year's Eve. Instead, take the family to midnight at 7 p.m. at Symphony of Lights. The event features a walk through the light display, a bonfire, food, music and of course, fireworks at 7 p.m. The cost is $20 per individual, $40 for a group of 3, $50 for a group of 4, etc. All proceeds benefit Howard County General Hospital.

New Year's Eve Bash at the Rams Head

Enjoy the festivities at the NYE Bash at the Rams Head in Savage. The venue is not charging a cover for the night, and there will be a handful of drink specials on the menu. In addition, partygoers will be treated to a beer toast at midnight. You can even continue your party into the New Year with the venue’s New Year’s Day brunch from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

New Year's Eve at King's Contrivance Restaurant

Looking for a great meal to kick off the night? Then head over to the King's Contrivance Restaurant for a special New Year's Eve menu, which is being served from 5 to 10 p.m. The dinner includes soup, an appetizer, entree and dessert with a glass of champagne for $85 per person. Menu items include roased butternut squash soup, seared tuna sashimi and filet mignon oscar (with crab meat, asparagus and bernaise sauce.)

Union Jack's 2013 New Year's Eve Little Black Dress Ball

Union Jack's is having its annual Little Black Dress Ball starting at 8 p.m. at its location near the Mall in Columbia. The event features hor d'oeuvres from 8 to 10 p.m. and a DJ playing until 2 a.m. Cost is $25 in advance and there is a champagne toast scheduled for midnight.

New Year's Eve Party at Second Chance Saloon

The Oakland Mills mainstay Second Chance Saloon is offering a special small plates menu all day and offering hard-to-beat drink specials for its New Year's Eve party. Special include $2 shots and Natty Boh drafts, $4 fireball shots. Dave Pheicie and the Dislocated Shoulders will take the stage at 9 p.m.

Clyde's of Columbia's New Year's Eve Bash

Celebrate New Year's in style at Clyde's (before the restaurant closes for three months for renovations). The party features an open bar and buffet, live music by The Approach, DJ ChefBoi Henri and a complimentary champagne toast. The cost is $75.
