Columbia Hurricane-Related Event Cancelations

The following is a list of events canceled due to the forecasted hurricane expected to create tropical weather conditions in Columbia.

24 Hours of Booty charity bike event, which was scheduled to occur in Columbia from 2 p.m. Saturday to 2 p.m. Sunday is canceled. Nearly 500 riders and 150 volunteers, and staff, family and friends were expected to attend.

Saturday’s outdoor movie held by the Columbia Association is cancelled.

A talent show scheduled Saturday for the has been canceled.

The Tomato Festival at Homestead Gardens has been postponed until Sept. 10.

The Howard County school district is meeting at 2 p.m. today to discuss whether to cancel the first day of school Monday.
