Reward Upped To $30K After U.S. Marshals Join Search For Teen Wanted In Mall Shooting
U.S. Marshals are helping search for a Columbia teen wanted in connection to a summer shooting at the mall. The reward is now up to $30K.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The U.S. Marshals Service has teamed up with the Howard County Police Department to hunt down a Maryland teen wanted in connection to a fatal shooting that happened this summer at The Mall in Columbia.
A reward of up to $20,000 has been offered by the U.S. Marshals Service for information that leads to Marshall's arrest, which is in addition to the $10,000 being offered by the Howard County Police Department.
William Thomas Marshall III, 17, of Columbia, has been charged in the District Court of Maryland for Howard County with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 17-year-old Angelo Little. Police believe the two teens knew each other. The shooting happened July 27 at 6:10 p.m. in the food court area of the mall. Little was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives identified Marshall as the suspect in that footage and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Police on Aug. 5 released surveillance video that shows Marshall's movements through the mall leading up to and after the shooting. Marshall is seen on video at a table in the food court with his head down until Little walks toward the bathroom hallway.

The footage shows Marshall get up from the table and follows Little. He waits for Little to leave the bathroom, then fires one fatal shot from behind and runs through a back door, the police department said. Responding officers found a gun on Little and investigators determined he was injured in a shooting in April 2023. No arrest was made in that case and it is unknown whether the two incidents are related, police said. The video can be seen on the HCPD website.
According to the Howard County Public School System, Marshall is an Oakland Mills High School student but has not attended school this year.
