Man Fatally Hit Crossing Cedar Lane: HCPD

COLUMBIA, MD — A man crossing Cedar Lane in the area of Holland Court was fatally hit by a vehicle Monday in the early evening.

At approximately 5:15 p.m., the man was crossing the street when he was hit by a 2013 Hyundai Sonata that was heading northbound. The man was taken to Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The driver was uninjured and remained at the scene, according to Howard County Police.

The road was closed for approximately two hours for an investigation into the incident. The man has not yet been identified by the police department.
