Severe Thunderstorm Watch for HoCo Wednesday

The watch is in effect until 10 p.m.

There is a severe thunderstorm watch in effect across the region, including Howard County, until 10 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, the thunderstorms are developing along a southeastern moving cold front. Heavy downpours and frequent “cloud to ground lightning” can be expected.

Lows are expected to reach around 60 degrees tonight with north winds between 8 and 10 miles per hour. Daily highs tomorrow will be in the mid-80s, a break from the near triple digit temperatures seen earlier this week.
