Storm Chances and Sunshine Share the Forecast: Week's Weather in Maryland

This week's weather starts with a storm threat, then gives us a little bit of sunshine before another round of showers and storms.

First, we'll see patchy fog first thing Monday morning, then lifting before 9 a.m.

There will be a chance for an afternoon shower Monday and Tuesday.

Wednesday and Thursday will be a little cooler, with highs in the low 80s, but both days are forecasted to be mostly sunny.

The chance for showers and thunderstorms return Friday and into the weekend, as temperatures warm to the mid-80s.

Monday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a high near 84. South wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tuesday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. Southwest wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83.

Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 84. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
