Suspect Brandishes Knife, Steals Items From Home Depot: HCPD

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — An incident unfolded at the Home Depot in Ellicott City where a knife was pulled on an employee.

According to the Howard County Police Department, officers were called to the Home Depot located in the 9100 block of Baltimore National Pike on Dec. 22 around 2:15 p.m. An employee told officers that a man pulled out a knife then stole store merchandise. No one was injured, the police department stated.

In related crime news, a home in the 5400 block of Tilted Stone in Columbia was broken into Dec. 21. The residents reported cash being stolen.

• Laurel, 20723: 10300 block of Pimlico Place, Dec. 21 9-11:45 p.m., three vehicles: various items
• 8400 block of Ice Crystal Drive, Dec. 22-23 overnight, tires
• Columbia, 21046: 9600 block of Hastings Drive, Dec. 21-22 overnight, pocket knife
