Christmas Day House Fire In Columbia Displaces 3 Residents

Three residents have been displaced after an early morning Christmas Day fire broke out at their Columbia home.

Around 2:20 a.m., units from the Howard and Montgomery county fire departments were called to a home in the 10700 block of Hunting Lane. They found flames shooting through the roof of the home. All three residents were able to escape the home.

COLUMBIA, MD — No injuries were reported in a Christmas Day fire that broke out in Columbia Wednesday.

Around 2:20 a.m., units from the Howard and Montgomery county fire departments were called to a home in the 10700 block of Hunting Lane. They found flames shooting through the roof of the home. All three residents were able to escape the home before the fire departments arrived and the fire was quickly brought under control, fire department officials said.

The residents have been displaced and will be staying with family. The Maryland State Office of the Fire Marshal will be investigating the fire.
