Fire Damages Garage, Spreads To Highland Home

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Firefighters battled a residential garage fire Monday around 12:30 p.m. in Highland.

Crews were called to the home located in the 6600 block of Isle of Skye Dr. They found fire pouring out of the garage. All residents had safely escaped the home before the fire department arrived. The fire was quickly brought under control but did spread to the house a bit, according to the fire department.

The residents have been displaced but are being helped by the American Red Cross. No injuries were reported.
