Laurel Man Shot Multiple Times Along I-95: Maryland State Police
Maryland State Police said a Laurel man was shot multiple times along I-95 early Monday morning. The suspect and the victim knew each other.
ELKRIDGE, MD — Maryland State Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Monday morning on I-95 that injured a 28-year-old Laurel man.
According to Maryland State Police, shortly after 4:30 a.m. Nov. 18, Maryland State Troopers were called to northbound I-95 just before Route 216 for the report of a shooting. The victim, Ronald Victor Garcia-Rodriguez, called 911 and told police that he had been shot multiple times. Police found Garcia-Rodriguez lying on the shoulder of I-95 with multiple gunshot wounds. He was the driver and only person in his vehicle. Police said he was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Investigators stated that the victim and the suspect knew each other and that they appeared to have had a fight before the shooting on the highway. It's unclear whether Garcia-Rodriguez was in or out of his vehicle at the time of the shooting, the police department said.
