Veterans, Active Military Honored On Howard County's New Tribute Website

People are encouraged to submit veterans and active military in Howard County to be recognized on the new tribute website.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — In recognition of National Veterans and Military Families Month, the county has launched a new “Tribute to County Veterans & Military Members” website to honor local hometown heroes.

The Veterans and Military Members Tribute initiative honors county residents who are serving or have served in the U.S. Armed and Uniformed Services since World War I. The website features photos, bios, military histories and personal updates of service members who were from or at one-time lived in Howard County.

"There is no greater calling than serving your country. Howard County takes that to heart with this new initiative to honor current and former military members who call or did call Howard County home. I encourage everyone to take some time to visit our Veterans Tribute page to learn more about our residents who have served or are serving and share your hero’s story," said Howard County Executive Calvin Ball.
