3 Armed Men Rob Gaithersburg Apartment: Police

Police are searching for three armed men who allegedly broke into an apartment and stole property, including guns, from the victim.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — Police are searching for three armed men who allegedly broke into an apartment and stole property in Gaithersburg Thursday night.

The armed robbery occurred at the Gaithersburg Station Apartments at 370 E Diamond Ave. shortly before 11:30 p.m. Thursday, police said.

The victim told officers that a man knocked on his door and looked worried. When the victim opened the door, the man and two others ran into his apartment, police said.

The suspects were armed with handguns and demanded property from the victim. Police said the suspects stole the victim's laptop, cellphone, wallet and two guns. The suspects then fled the scene in a 2004-2006 White Ford Crown Victoria with tinted windows and a spotlight.

Police describe the first suspect as a black male with dark skin, 6'2" tall with a short haircut and a short beard. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a chin-strap beard. The third suspect was a man wearing dark clothing, police said.
