Detectives Seek Assistance in Identifying Aggravated Assault Suspect

The Gaithersburg Police are investigating an aggravated assault incident that occurred in the 500 block of S. Fredrick Avenue.

Detectives from the Gaithersburg Police Investigation Section are investigating an aggravated assault incident that occurred in the 500 block of S. Fredrick Avenue on September 17, 2016. Today, detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a possible suspect.

On September 17, 2016 at 2:45 a.m., an aggravated assault was reported in the 500 block of S. Frederick Avenue. The two victims, an elderly male and female, were inside their apartment when the female victim exited onto her balcony to observe an unknown Hispanic male sitting in the corner. The unknown male entered the apartment and engaged in a physical altercation with the female victim. The male victim confronted the unknown male and was also physically assaulted by the unknown male. The unknown male then exited the apartment in an unknown direction. The victims sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault.

The suspect is described as a light skinned Hispanic male, 5’08” to 5’09”, 135-145 pounds, with brown eyes and dark brown or black hair. He was last seen wearing a charcoal black hooded jacket, light blue stonewashed jeans, and blue and white tennis shoes.
