GAITHERSBURG, MD — An unknown man allegedly entered a woman's home and raped her in Gaithersburg last week, Montgomery County Police announced Friday. Police said the woman was "surprised by an unknown male as she was entering her home" in the 100 block of Park Ave. on Friday, March 16. The rape occurred inside the home, police said. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male who is about 5′9″ tall. He was wearing a black hoodie with white fleece lining in it and dark jeans. Detectives ask anyone who recognizes the suspect in the composite sketch or has information about this rape to call the Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5050. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
