Police Crack Down On Illegal Racing, Aggressive Driving In County

Law enforcement in Montgomery County issued more than 100 traffic tickets and citations in a 24-hour period on Tuesday.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — More than 100 traffic tickets and citations were issued in a 24-hour period Tuesday in Montgomery County as part of a joint law enforcement effort to combat illegal street racing.

From 8 p.m. to midnight, Maryland state troopers and officers from Montgomery County patrolled the area of MD Route 355 between Rockville and Gaithersburg.
