2 Women Charged In Plot To Kill Ex-Boyfriend: Police
Montgomery County police said a Germantown woman paid her former sister-in-law to find someone to kill her ex-boyfriend.

GERMANTOWN, MD — A Germantown woman and her former sister-in-law are facing charges for their involvement in a murder-for-hire plot targeting the woman's ex-boyfriend, police said.
According to Montgomery County police, 53-year-old Adelaida Consuelo Zacarias Chacon of Germantown and 40-year-old Reyna Gomez Lopez of Philadelphia were charged with first-degree conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the alleged plot.
According to police, a case worker at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Family Justice Center contacted detectives in June and said they received information that Zacarias Chacon had attempted to hire someone to kill her ex-boyfriend.

During the investigation, detectives found communications between Zacarias Chacon and Gomez Lopez indicating that Zacarias Chacon had paid Gomez Lopez $1,000 to find a person willing to kill the ex-boyfriend. A bank transfer confirming the payment was also discovered, police said.

Chacon was also charged with first-degree solicitation to commit murder and is currently being held at the Central Processing Unit awaiting a bond hearing. Gomez Lopez is awaiting extradition to Montgomery County.
