BlackRock Announces Summer Concert Series Lineup

Saturday night is free concert night this summer in Germantown.

BlackRock Center for the Arts recently unveiled the lineup for this year’ summer concert series, which begins July 6 with BG and the Mojo Hands, a Washington, DC-based blues band.

The shows are 7 p.m. every Saturday on the lawn of the arts venue on Town Commons Drive. Bring your own chairs, blankets and picnics—but keep the wine at home.

Here’s the schedule:

• July 6—BG and the Mojo Hands
• July 13—US Navy Country Current, the Navy’s premiere country-bluegrass ensemble
• July 20—The Empresarios, a band whose signature Caribbean sound is called “Tropicaliente,” according to BlackROck
• July 27 —The James Bazen Big Band, a swing/jazz band
