Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for July Fourth
Storms could bring strong winds to the region, says National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Mogomery and Prince George's counties and much of the surrounding Washington, D.C. region.
According to the forecast, scattered thunderstorms may roll into the area this evening, some with the potential to produce large hail and powerful winds.
For Independence Day, forecasters said that an upper level disturbance could bring severe thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

The storms aren't the only thing that could put a damper on your Fourth of July celebrations. With the heat index predicted to be above 100 on Wednesday, the risk of heat-related illnesses increases.
Temperature-wise, the forecast isn't getting any better for the rest of the week. High temperatures are predicted through Saturday.
