Mental Health And Recovery Event Hosted By County On Oct. 1

Montgomery County will host a free online event focusing on mental health care and substance misuse treatment next month.

GERMANTOWN, MD — A free event focusing on mental health care and substance misuse treatment will be held online next month.

"Many Pathways to Family Recovery" — scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. — will feature a number of keynote speakers including Jason Martin, the director of Addiction Services, at Sheppard Pratt, and LaTonia Rich, co-executive director of Tree of Hope — an organization that trains peer recovery specialists.

During the event, attendees can speak with recovery organizations in the community using video, voice, or text. Live closed captions will be available in English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese.
