Midcounty Corridor Study Hearing, Mosque Breaks New Ground, Party with Police: The Daily Digest

What you need to have on your radar in Germantown on Tuesday, Aug. 6.

On the agenda | Public hearing: Midcounty Corridor Study
State transit officials will host a public hearing on the Midcounty Corridor Study on Wednesday at Seneca Valley High School, from 6:30–10:30 p.m. (poster session is  4:30–6:30 p.m.).

Transit officials have said the Midcounty Corridor Study was borne out of a need to accommodate more traffic between Gaithersburg and Clarksburg. One of the proposed routes—Alternative 4, which would turn Snouffer School, Wightman and Brink roads into a four-lane divided highway—has drawn the ire of many Upcounty residents . >>>Background: “Anger Unleashed Against 'Alternative 4'” at Montgomery Village Patch
