According to the Maryland Department of Health, as of Monday, the state has 537,327 confirmed cases.
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — As of Monday, Anne Arundel County has a total of 50,950 positive new COVID-19 cases and 722 deaths, according to the Anne Arundel County Health Department. The state has 528,764 confirmed cases and 10,166 deaths total, reports the Maryland Department of Health.
The following zip codes have the highest confirmed case counts in Anne Arundel County as of Oct. 4:
- Pasadena (21122) has 5,454 total cases.
- Glen Burnie (21061) has 5,279 total cases.
- Glen Burnie (21060) has 3,439 total cases.
- Annapolis (21401) has 3,091 total cases.
- Severn (21144) has 2,971 total cases.
- Annapolis (21403) has 2,841 total cases.
- Odenton (21113) has 2,404 total cases.
- Severna Park (21146) has 1,875 total cases.
- Laurel (20724) has 1,763 total cases.
- Crofton (21114) has 1,665 total cases.

The CDC advises doing the following to stop the spread of the virus:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If this is not available, use hand sanitizer that is at least 60 percent alcohol.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
- Keep 6 feet of space between people.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
