Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold is asking county residents to nominate Snow Angels who helped them during the latest snowstorm.
“Many Anne Arundel County citizens rely on the kindness of their family, friends and neighbors during snow storms,” Leopold said in a press release. “The Snow Angel Program honors people who take it upon themselves to help others in our community. When severe weather hits, it impacts our seniors and persons with disabilities the most. Whether it is assisting someone with getting needed medications or clearing sidewalks, these acts of kindness should be recognized.”
According to the release, hundreds of citizens were nominated last year forward to help their neighbors. To nominate a Snow Angel, e-mail jleopold@aacounty.org or call 410-222-1795.
