  1. Maryland has had a few days of wicked thunderstorms! A flash flood watch was issued for Friday night for most of Maryland. It was predicted for at least three inches of rain to fall. (Patch)
  2. Anne Arundel County Public Schools are set to start on Aug. 29. That means a lot of things will be going on! To keep on track, click on the link to see all of the back-to-school events. (Press Release Desk)
  3. Shawn Patrick Scott from Glen Burnie was arrested in Palm Coast, Florida. Scott was arrested in connection to a Jan. 23 incident where he is suspected of attempted second-degree rape, first-degree assault and second-degree assault. His criminal record goes back to 1999. (WJXT News4JAX)
  4. Derron Daley, 23, from Stafford, Virginia, was arrested on Sept. 25, 2021, with drugs and weapons in a car he was a passenger in. Daley is a convicted felon, that was prohibited from carrying a firearm. He was convicted and will be sentenced on Sept. 16. (News Break)

  • The People's Park is having a festival! The First Sunday Arts Festival is happening on Sunday, Aug. 7 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. This is a free event, and all are welcome! (Festival Net)
