The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) and other state agencies are joining together to remind drivers of steps they can take to keep themselves and others safe in the event of an emergency incident or minor vehicle crash while traveling. - ATM Thieves Target Credit Union In Glen Burnie. Another attempted ATM theft. On Thursday morning, police found a broken and severely damaged ATM abandoned in a parking lot off Chesapeake Center Court and Ordnance Road in Glen Burnie. Mark Roper reports it was ripped out of the ground at the SECU credit union. (wmar2news.com)
- Man Carjacked On Green Orchard Road In Glen Burnie. County police said officers were called around 1 a.m. Wednesday to the block of Green Orchard Road in Glen Burnie for a report of a carjacking. Police said a 39-year-old man was sitting in his car outside his house when two assailants armed with guns demanded he get out and give them his keys. The assailants then fled in the victim's vehicle, which was found abandoned in the area of Donna Court and Crainmont Drive. (Wbaltv)
- The University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center (UM BWMC), has once again, been awarded an ‘A’ grade in Patient Safety from The Leapfrog Group. This latest designation marks the fifth such accomplishment for the hospital. This national distinction recognizes UM BWMC’s achievements in protecting patients from harm and error in the hospital.
