Birds and Bees

Parents dread it. Your little ones reach that age when they are full of questions about everything.

Time passes and you try to prepare yourself for it but you end up being blindsided by that one question that most, if not, all parents are never prepared for: where do babies come from?

There's no real rhyme or reason for it. Maybe they have a little brother or sister on the way. Or maybe they're just inquisitive.

Patch Editor Maya T. Prabhu's mother had the Peter Mayle book, "Where Did I Come From?," on hand when she posed her question at age 6 (for the record, there was no little brother or sister on the way, she was just inquisitive—hence the career in journalism).
