Anne Arundel School District: Anne Arundel County school bus drivers and attendants are one step closer to a $5 per hour wage increase after the Maryland district’s school board approved the budget supplement needed to fund it. The board of education voted in favor of $7.4 million to provide the school district’s transportation contractors with enough funding for the wage hike, as presented by Anne Arundel County Public Schools Superintendent George Arlotto.
  2. Halloween Happenings: There's no doubt that the spooky season is one of the many favorite holidays. As kids and the older crowds prepare for all the fun, our fur friends are excited too! Some unique train fun lies ahead this month. Residents can take their pup for a ride on the rails or catch the train to a pumpkin patch at one Maryland museum.   3. Glen Burnie Police: On Oct. 9, 2021, at approximately 10 a.m., officers responded to the area of Irene and Nancy drives in Glen Burnie for a citizen robbery. A female victim advised she was walking when she felt someone grab her purse. The victim turned and attempted to grab the pepper spray she carries. The suspect pushed the victim to the ground and fled the area on foot. Officers and K9s conducted a search but were unable to locate the suspect. The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault. Northern District Detectives are investigating and asking anyone with any information to call 410-222-6135 or the Tip Line 410-222-4700. (Arundel County)
