ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — As of Monday, Anne Arundel County has a total of 48,289 positive new coronavirus cases and 681 deaths, according to the Anne Arundel County Health Department. The state has 511,646 confirmed cases and 9,964 deaths total, reports the Maryland Department of Health.

The following zip codes have the highest confirmed case counts in Anne Arundel County as of Sept. 13:

  • Pasadena (21122) has 5,280 total cases.
  • Glen Burnie (21061) has 5,093 total cases.
  • Glen Burnie (21060) has 3,310 total cases.
  • Annapolis (21401) has 2,978 total cases.
  • Severn (21144) has 2,892 total cases.
  • Annapolis (21403) has 2,744 total cases.
  • Odenton (21113) has 2,317 total cases.
  • Severna Park (21146) has 1,812 total cases.
  • Laurel (20724) has 1,710 total cases.
  • Crofton (21114) has 1,610 total cases.

The CDC advises doing the following to stop the spread of the virus:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If this is not available, use hand sanitizer that is at least 60 percent alcohol.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Keep 6 feet of space between people.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
