Glen Burnie: Pipe bomb

A maintenance man who went to do work at a vacant building in the 300 block of Dublin Drive around noon on Sunday found an "incendiary device" inside, according to Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman Lt. Keith Hamilton.
Investigators from the Maryland Fire Marshal's office evacuated the scene and neutralized the device, Hamilton said. There were no injuries. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Glen Burnie:
A Severn man was robbed at gunpoint while delivering food Sunday night in Glen Burnie, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
The 32-year old said he was delivering food at an apartment when two men approached him wearing masks and demanding money. The victim handed over an undisclosed amount of cash before the suspects fled the scene by running behind the building, located on the 7800 block of Americana Circle in Glen Burnie.
Officers arrived with a K-9 unit and searched the area but were unable to find the suspects.
Police are asking that anyone with information about the incident call the Northern District Detective Unit at 410-222-6135.

Glen Burnie: Accident
The driver of a tractor-trailer was hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries after he veered off the road and got trapped in his vehicle. The driver was traveling north on I-97 when he left the road and hit an embankment and overpass of Route 100 just before 2 p.m. Wednesday. Traffic backed up due to the incident and about 15 minutes later, a 6-year-old girl was seriously injured in a car accident on I-97 northbound at Route 32. She was taken to Johns Hopkins Children's Center in Baltimore.
