Here are the top stories in Glen Burnie today:

  1. Since the "good and substantial reason" has been suspended there have been a large amount of applications sent in for the "Wear and Carry" gun permits. The Maryland State Police are offering guidance on how to proceed with your application. One thing to remember is, not everyone will get a permit just because an application has been submitted. Click to see what is needed for your application to be approved. (News Break)
  2. City Hall in Annapolis has upped it's security. Everyone and their belongings will be screened as they walk into the building, either by wand or by passing through the magnetometer. This is not to cause any inconvenience, but to ensure a safe environment. (WTOP)
  3. The weathermen are saying that the dangerous hot temperatures are to come to an end Sunday, July 24. But then, it is predicted that severe storms will move into the are on Monday, July 25. Keep up to date about the weather and take the necessary precautions that are advised. (WBFF)
  4. Many married couples do everything together, there is nothing unique in that. But, one Maryland couple found themselves doing something very unpleasant together...fighting cancer. The wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and the husband was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. They have a GoFundMe page set up to help with living expenses. (Patch)
