- Anne Arundel County Police released information on a traffic stop that resulted in an arrest in Glen Burnie. On March 8, an officer stopped a blue 2012 Honda Civic on Hidden Brook Drive and Elvaton Road and arrested Nathaniel Levi Hurley for possession of marijuana and a loaded 9mm Taurus G2 handgun. - AACPL Glen Burnie branch had special guests on March 4. Miss Margery and Miss Lorelei enjoyed a visit from Chesapeake High School. Miss Margery taught students about the science of flight and then they all had fun making paper airplanes and seeing how far they could go! (AACPL)
- Glen Burnie community has been lucky when it comes to lottery games! For the last months, Patch has been reporting all the lucky players across Anne Arundel County, and a good number of winners are from the community. - A new airline will serve the BWI Marshal Airport starting on March 26. The low-cost airline, Avelo will start with five flights every week from BWI to New Haven and then expand it to six weekly flights in mid-June. (WTOPNEWS)
- "A man is dead after a house fire in Severn. Anne Arundel County firefighters said they received a call about a fire at a two-story home at 7968 Quarterfield around 10:51 p.m. on Wednesday. That's right by Quarterfield Elementary School. Firefighters said the man was believed to be in his 60s and that there were no working smoke alarms in the house. It's not clear what started that fire." (wmar2news)
