- Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport was recognized for its customer service. The honor comes from the Airports Council International (ACI), the trade association of the world's airports. The Voice of the Customer initiative awards international airports that prioritized customer service and the ones that were committed to hearing passengers during the COVID-19 pandemic. - Anne Arundel County Public Schools will be hosting a virtual job fair on Saturday, March 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Candidates will be able to navigate the education jobs available in the district such as chemistry, special education, elementary education, and much more. - The Maryland State Board of Education voted 12-2 to lift the statewide mask mandate in schools. The vote is pending approval of the Joint Committee on Administrative, Executive, and Legislative to be put into effect. The mandate was supposed to be in effect until the summer, but the end of the mandate is being discussed due to pushbacks from the school community and Gov. Larry Hogan. (w2marnews)
- Nearby News: Two children were injured in a shooting in Annapolis. Police are investigating the incident that happened on Monday evening. Children were playing outside in the 1300 block of Tyler Avenue when the shooting started. No arrests have been made. Anyone with any information is asked to call 410-260-3439. (w2marnews)
