  1. Pittsburgh pizza chain opening: Pittsburgh-based Vocelli Pizza is opening a new location in Owings Mills. The new space at 9623 Reisterstown Road marks the company's 88th franchise store and 18th location in Maryland. Other Baltimore-area stores are located in Edgewater, Eldersburg, Ellicott City and Glen Burnie. Vocelli Pizza will join a strip of retailers including Abass Vapors, a hookah store; and the Owings Mills Veterinary Center. The store is also across the street from the Valley Centre shopping mall, which includes tenants such as Ross Dress for Less, Michaels and Aldi. (WBAL TV Baltimore)
  2. Glen Burnie man arrested after drug bust: Police announced that they arrested a Glen Burnie man last Thursday in Severn after catching him with suspected drugs. Officers identified the arrestee as 19-year-old Markece Brown. Authorities stopped Brown's vehicle around 1 a.m. near Durness Court and Stillmeadows Drive. The Anne Arundel County Police Department said it conducted a probable search and found 10.93 grams of suspected crack cocaine and 58.67 grams of suspected marijuana. (Glen Burnie Patch)
