Glen Burnie Fall Reopening Of Schools: This will be the first time in almost 18 months that The School District will have the whole AACPS school family back together again for in-person instruction. Based on public feedback from our Listening Tour in the spring, the work of our many planning committees, educational best-practices noted in the research, Anne Arundel County Department of Health guidance, along with all that we have learned over the past year during virtual learning, we have planned for a healthy student-centered, supportive start to the 2021-2022 school year.   2. Glen Burnie woman Shot in her apartment: On Oct, 15, at approximately 12:45 p.m. officers responded for several reports of guns hots fired in the 700 block of Hammond Branch Road in Odenton. Shortly after the initial calls were received, a 911 caller reported she was struck by a stray bullet while she was sitting in her apartment, also located on Hammond Branch Road. Witnesses reported seeing an altercation between two individuals, followed by one of the them firing several rifle rounds. The person who fired the shots then fled the area in an Audi sedan. No suspects arrested and police is investigating the event. (Anne Arundel County)
  3. Glen Burnie Haunted Houses: Ready to be spooked? Halloween this year is coming back with all the fun traditions we missed last year. Haunted houses are one of the favorite attractions of all ages crowds and a fun list of scary address are released now so all can pick the best location and have fun walking through bedrooms full of zombies, ghosts etc. Have fun!
