Family, Friends Set to Remember 92-Year-Old Activist
Bob Auerbach died tragically in December. His memorial is planned for this weekend.

It's been a few months since Greenbelt mourned the loss of a man many admired, but now family and friends are hoping to celebrate his life on Saturday.
Robert "Bob" Shipley Auerbach, 92, died on Dec. 12—just two days before his 93rd birthday—after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver near Ora Glen Drive around 6:27 p.m.
Auerbach was a political activist for most of his life recently running for office as the Green Party candidate in the U.S. House of Representatives' 5th district.

Hopi and Jennine, Auerbach's daughters, are hosting the memorial at Adelphi Friends Meeting at 2302 Metzerott Road in Adelphi, MD at 2 p.m. on March 16.
Anyone is welcome to come, according to the invitation, and the hosts are encouraging attendees to wear red or green.
