Laurel Police to Wear On-Body Cameras

Video from the devices can be used in investigations and in disputes over police conduct.

Officers with the Laurel Police Department will soon be wearing on-body cameras while on duty, NBC4 reports.

The devices—which can attach to different parts of an officer's uniform or be worn with a headband—are designed to track police activity for investigations and disputes over an officer's conduct.

Video will be sent back to supervisors and can't be edited by the officers themselves, according to the news channel.
