The month of November began with a big national election, and followed with some big news stories including a tragic accident, surprising fire and some positive development news. Oh, and there was an alligator.

Adetokunbo Olumbuni Adepoju was convicted for a third time on bank and mail fraud charges. Prosecutors said he stole someone's identity and then tried to cash phony checks.

Residents of Odenton have been waiting a long time for redevelopment of the area known as "Boomtown." And that may happen, after a developer presented plans for a retail and office complex on Annapolis Road. 

Woman Dies in Crash on Annapolis Road

Tori Stitely of Annapolis died in a horrific crash in November. Police said at least one person may have fled the scene, but no arrests have been announced in the case. 

Arundel Volleyball Reaches State Title Game Again

The Wildcats reached the state title game for the second year in a row, but again fell to a talented team from Sherwood High. 

Arundel and Old Mill were again the favorites to emerge as the regional champ, but the Meade Mustangs overcame a slow start to upset both teams to reach the state final four. 

Fire Hits Seven Oaks Apartments Again

An apartment complex in Seven Oaks went up in flames, just a month after a similar fire in an adjacent builing. Fire department officials said the fire was caused by improperly discarded smoking materials and was not connected to the previous blaze. 

County residents came out strong at the booths, as President Obama earned re-election, along with Democractic Sen. Ben Cardin and Democratic Rep. John Sarbanes. 

3-Foot Alligator Seized in Jessup Drug Bust

After entering a home in a search for drug activity, police found a big surprise. Michael Bolden was arrested on drug charges and the alligator was taken to a proper home for exotic animals.
