3 Hospitalized After Crash on Piney Orchard Parkway

Two people suffered serious injuries and were transported to Shock Trauma after the crash Monday afternoon.

Three people suffered injuries Monday afternoon following a crash of an SUV and at least one other vehicle on Piney Orchard Parkway, a fire department spokesman said. 

Batallion Chief Steve Thompson said the crash happened at about 5:10 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Piney Orchard Parkway and Auburn Lane, just north of Waugh Chapel Road. 

Thompson said a 73-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries and were transported to the Shock Trauma center in Baltimore. Another person of unknown age and gender was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

Fire and police officials confirmed witness reports that the crash involved an SUV that had rolled over on the road. It's unclear precisely how many other vehicles were involved.
