Here's the note that McHenry sent Tuesday to the local church community.Â
"Since this is a Christian organization we would like a Christian person to organize and run it. We have been in existence since 1985 and are located in the Severn United Methodist Church, 1215 Old Camp Meade Rd. in Severn. Since we are open on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.and on Thursdays from 3-5 p.m., [we] would need someone there on those days. [The manager would] need to get there early in order to open up and help volunteers set up to be ready to open. Main job consists of giving out donated food to qualified individuals in the Gambrills, Odenton and Severn areas. This is a volunteer position. Training will be provided. Contact Jean McHenry, 410-674-5353 or mchenrysnorth40@verizon.net with inquiries or to come in and look us over."
