The Mustangs continued their late-season run with a 28-21 win over the defending state champions.

One week after upsetting powerhouse Arundel, the Meade High football team took it up another notch by defeating the defending state champion Old Mill.Â
The Mustangs recorded a 28-21 win to secure the MPSSAA Class 4A East regional title. Quarterback Marcus Smith recorded the winning score with 22 seconds left in the game, when he ran for a six-yard touchdown.
Meade will next play the winner of Saturday's game between Henry A. Wise and Suitland High for a shot at the state title game.
