From the Editor: March Madness Mascot Bracket

If an alligator came across a gaucho in a dark alley, who would win? 

What is a Red Storm?

How would a jayhawk fair in a fight against a panther?

These mysteries are the very thing I set out to discover as I chose my March Madness bracket. I did my best to accurately select each game's winner, but I did so in an unusual way.

Instead of predicting the outcome on the court, I made my picks solely off of the combative qualities of each team's mascot. 

Of course, that means I have a No. 13 seed going to the Elite Eight and No. 1 seeds dropping out in the second round of the tournament.

Take a look at my bracket and let me know what you think, both about the craziness of the picks and the questionable logic of my mascot battles.
