Grandfather Takes to the Trails in Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser

The Edgewater resident will walk 5.1 miles this weekend to raise money for research.

Community members can find founder of the Edgewater X-STREAM Hike for Cystic Fibrosis Robert Termini walking on Saturday, Sept. 27, in honor of his 4-year-old granddaughter, Ariana, who suffers from the degenerative disease.

According to the Capital Gazette, Termini has pledged to wear the names and logos of his sponsors as he walks 5.1 miles along Shore Drive in a loop beginning at the London Towne Property Owners Association Community Hall.

Termini’s daughter is also a part of Saturday’s fundraising events to benefit Cystic Fibrosis research. Hiking over 20 miles along the Tuscarora trail in the George Washington National Park, she will act as the sole racer for team Arianas Roses in the second annual X-Treme Hike for Cystic Fibrosis.
