Local Businesses, Soccer Players Team Up to Feed Hungry
Several local businesses and the A.S.A. Pride soccer team collected and delivered Thanksgiving meals to five families in Odenton.
Needy families in Odenton will have Thanksgiving dinner this year thanks to the efforts of a local soccer team and group of small businesses.Â
Ten-year-old girls from the A.S.A. Pride girls soccer team collected and loaded turkeys, mashed potatoes and other fixins on Wednesday night and delivered them to five families who may have otherwise gone without a big feast.Â
Team members included Sarah Cooper, Sophia Liebermann and Kayla Bobick.Â

Food was provided by J. King's Restaurant, with help from TradeNet, a local group of small businesses. Owners of the Gambrills General Store and Little House of Flowers were on hand to help load food on Wednesday evening.Â
