Maintenance Workers' Tip Leads to Drug Arrest in Meade Village
Police confiscated about $140 worth of marijuana from the apartment.
A Severn man was arrested Thursday night after police found 14 grams of marijuana in his apartment in Meade Village, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Earlier in the day, maintenance workers noticed suspicious packages in the house, located on the 1800 block of Meade Village Circle, and notified police. Officers used dog units and other investigative methods in order to gain a search warrant for the house.
Officers then searched the apartment and found 14 grams of suspected marijuana in individually wrapped packages, said police.

Upon entering the house, police said the residence smelled of freshly burnt marijuana. According to police, the estimated street value of the substance was around $140.
The arrest comes just two weeks after detectives executed a of crystal methamphetamine in Severn resulting in the confiscation of 71 grams of the product worth about $14,000. In the same week, Anne Arundel County Police also seized over 20 pounds of marijuana in Annapolis.Â

Kevin A. Shellington, 27, of Meade Village and Brandon Bell, 27, of Baltimore were both arrested and face possession of marijuana charges.
