Odenton's New Medical Building Set to Open
The facility by Johns Hopkins and Anne Arundel Medical will offer outpatient treatments for a wide range of medical needs.
Johns Hopkins and Anne Arundel Health System are set to open their new medical office building in Odenton, ushering in a wide range of outpatient services to the area.Â
The 60,000 square-foot Odenton Medical Pavilion I will be hold a kickoff event Thursday, further establishing east Odenton as a central spot for health and technology in the region.
The new facility will offer treatment in a wide range of medical areas, including ophthalmology, orthopedics, neurology, cardiology and internal medicine. There will also be cancer treatments and pediatric services on site.Â

The center will supplement services offered at hospitals and other facilities in Annapolis and Baltimore.Â
The new building will include a new office for the Wilmer Eye Center, which is moving into a 3,000 square-foot space there. In a press release, Johns Hopkins officials said the new facility will allow many patients to have their eye problems examined and treated closer to where they live.Â

With the building, the eastern section of Odenton will have a strong medical focus. Johns Hopkins also has offices at the adjacent Odenton Health and Technology campus, and another possible medical building is planned there. A Patient First urgent care facility opened next door in July, and a new kidney dialysis center is also expected to move in soon across the street in the Odenton Shopping Center.Â
Odenton Medical Pavilion I is located at the Odenton Gateway site, which includes the Haven at Odenton Gateway Apartments and a new CVS pharmacy.Â
